Environmentalist Daughter Tries to Outwit Her Oil Tycoon Dad
In CRUDE – THE CLIMATE CHANGE MUSICAL
At The Cape Cod Theatre Company/HJT Oct. 10 – Nov. 10
WEST HARWICH, MA (SEPTEMBER 4, 2019) --CRUDE-THE CLIMATE CHANGE MUSICAL -- about an environmentalist daughter who tries to outwit her oil tycoon Dad -- will make its debut Oct. 10 - Nov. 10, at the Cape Cod Theatre Company/Harwich Junior Theatre.
The show was: "An Official Selection of the 2016 New York Musical Festival”; Invited to the 2018 Chicago Musical Theatre Festival; and two songs from the musical have been performed by the Cape Symphony Orchestra.
“CRUDE is a fun musical romp through the world of big oil and high stakes PR where solar start-ups and the press are pawns in a game of corporate intrigue and family politics,” says CRUDE’s author, Cape Cod songwriter/playwright Maureen Condon.
CRUDE’s Director Frances Covais Lautenberger says,“ I am so excited to be part of a new work as it becomes a full production. It's a must see experience that has an important message wrapped in a fun and entertaining package.”
Music Direction for CRUDE is by Chris Morris; Choreography by Maxie Davidson; Scenic & Lighting Design by Jim P. Byrne; Costume Design by Frances Covais Lautenberger; Sound Design and Technical Direction by Matt Kohler; Production Stage Management by Cella Mariani and Properties Management by Marybeth Travis. The album for CRUDE-THE CLIMATE CHANGE MUSICAL was produced and arranged by John McKenna & Co., Evergreen, CO.
