At the 2016 New York Musical Festival, CRUDE - The Musical was given a Developmental Reading on July 14, and and two more Developmental Readings on July 19, 2016 at the Playwrights Horizons Rehearsal Studios, at 416 West 42 Street, New York, NY.
Ilana Ransom Toeplitz was the Director for the 2016 New York Musical Festival Reading of CRUDE - The Musical. She is a NYC-based director/choreographer. Favorite directing credits include: Reefer Madness (2014: New World Stages feat. (Associate Director, First National Tour), The Drowsy Chaperone, Wanda's Visit, Lucky Stiff, and Mary Poppins (Choreographer, Berkshire Theatre Group).
Ilana is a guest teaching artist at Clark University & Berkshire Theatre Group and holds assisting creditswith Baayork Lee, Daniel Knechtges, Huntington Theatre, Pittsburgh CLO, and Second Stage. Ilana served as assistant director on Leigh Silverman’s 2014 Tony- nominated revival of Violet. Ilana is a proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan and was named the Drama League's 2016 New Musicals Directing Fellow.
Cate Cammarata is the Dramaturg for the 2016 New York Musical Festival Reading of CRUDE. She is the Associate Artistic Director for Rhymes Over Beats, and is a
producer, director, dramaturg and writer in NYC. She is currently producing MY LIFE IS A MUSICAL by Adam Overett and developing FREEDOM! THE MUSICAL by Patrick Blake, NO CHANCE IN HELL by Chris John (which starred Robert Cuccioli and BEAUTIFUL's stars Chillina Kennedy & Scott J. Campbell), and SEARCHERS.ME by T. Cat Ford.
As the Literary Manager of Theater Resources Unlimited and as a freelance dramaturg she works with many writers and scripts in various stages of development, and co-moderates workshops for writers on "How To Write A Musical." Cate has worked on Broadway and off-Broadway, and her regional credits include work at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Syracuse Stage, the Emelin Theater, the John W. Engeman Theater and Porchlight Theater (Chicago), among others. Cate holds a MFA in Dramaturgy from SUNY Stony Brook, where she now teaches theatre arts, play analysis and producing.
Jonathan Ivie is making his NYMF debut. Jonathan has been

OF AGES and off-Broadway at NATASHA, PIERRE & THE
GREAT COMET OF 1812 AND 50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL.
Kevin Bleau recently recorded demos for ROSWITHA, his second full-length musical. His short musical The Mission was performed “off-off-Broadway” at the International CringeFest. Kevin directs Berklee College of Music’s annual Curtain Up and has music directed Pippin, Urinetown, Big River, Into the Woods, and Lucky Stiff, among others. Kevin’s arrangements have been performed by Crystal Gayle, The Platters, and at Boston’s legendary Hatch Shell. The International Horn Society and Berklee have funded his work.
Emily Ferranti played Kelly Sullivan, Engineer for End-Run, Inc.
Ms. Ferranti is a California native. She studied Musical Theatre at The Boston Conservatory where she achieved a B.F.A. Kimberly JaJuan is a graduate of The Eastman School and The Juilliard School where she received her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees respectively. Susannah Jones is delighted to be a part of this wonderful new show. In the last year she played Susan in Company at The Bucks County Playhouse, Olivia in Twelfth Night with Mainestage Shakespeare and reprised her role as Mother in the 1st national tour of A Christmas Story-The Musical.
